About Kinnikinnik

The Kinnikinnik is a newly renovated boutique motel that was inspired by its original construction in 1948. It has had several names throughout the years but we wanted to take it back to its original name and beauty with a full renovation in 2023. We are in an excellent location just outside of downtown Estes Park and only a short 15 minute drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. Whether you are here to enjoy adventure in the outdoors or just looking to relax, you will enjoy our clean, stylish rooms with luxury beds and linens.

Your Stay

Each room has a key code, so there is no office and no in person check in procedure. We value your time as a modern traveler and want you to be able to maximize your time for adventure instead of standing in line for a room key. While there are generally staff around we aren’t a full service property. If you are finding yourself needing something during your stay we can always be reached by a phone call or text. Please keep in mind that we are a family operation and will do our best to respond in a timely manner.

Check In

Check in is any time after 3:00pm and check out is at 11:00am. Check in details will be sent via text and email rather then visiting the lobby so you can go straight to your room and start relaxing. But don’t forget we are always available to assist you!

Please leave a note of this on your reservation and we will notify you if your room is available early.

We ask that when you check out of your room, you leave the tag on your door that says checked out. This lets our small housekeeping staff get a jumpstart on their day.

Room Cleaning

A mid-stay cleaning is offered for stays of four nights or more. We are always happy to refresh towels and take out trash when needed.

Pets

We love fur babies but cannot accept pets at this time. Please be aware that guests who bring pets will be charged an extra cleaning fee of $500. As well as asked to leave the property without a refund of their reservation.

Cancellation

1st night stay will be non-refundable 5 days from your check-in date.

2nd night stay will be non-refundable 3 days before your check-in date.

Entire stay is non-refundable 24 hours before your original check-in date.

We have worked hard to have a fair and considerate cancellation policy. We are not responsible for weather changes, illness, or cancelled travel plans. Our cancellation policy is non-negotiable.
